As a 9th Grader, all parish young people, attending both Catholic and public schools, are eligible to be part of our Program of Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. The preparation program at St. John Paul II Parish is a two year program, usually culminating in a celebration in the spring of the 10th grade.
As Catholics we are called to develop an intimate relations with the God of Love. Following the example of Jesus Christ, we can open our lives to the fullness of God’s grace and respond through our compassionate love for one another.
Confirmation continues the promise made by parents at the baptism of their son or daughter. At baptism, parents were told “to make it their constant care to bring up their child in the practice of faith.”

Confirmation Schedule
Starting in 2023, Confirmation Candidates will be required to attend monthly Family Faith Formation Meetings with at least one parent/guardian, in addition to 10 Confirmation classes.
