Following the brunch, a tour of the school will be given to Alumni showing them how their school has progressed. It will give you an opportunity to see all the exciting things Saint Cecilia School now offers its students and their families. A heart felt goodbye to Mary Ann Chase for all her years of service to our parish and for over 25 years as Director of Religious Education. Her wake will be Monday, September 24th from 4 to 7 PM at Tripp's Funeral Home. Mass will be Tuesday, September 25th at 10:00 AM in St. Cecilia's Church. (scroll over title to see obituary)

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a program designed for people over the age of 18 who wish to become full, active, participating members of the Catholic Church. St. John Paul II parish program will begin on -October 3, 2018 and will meet every Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Sacristy of St. Cecilia’s Church and will continue to meet until Wednesday, April 24, 2019 excluding holidays. Adults will receive the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil Mass on Saturday, April 20, 2019. If you are interested in receiving any or all these sacraments, please call the rectory during office hours (401-722-1220).

Please join us for our Parish's Annual Golf Tournament on October 1st at Pawtucket Country Club. Cost is $140 per person and includes Green Fees, Cart, Food/Beer/Water Stations on the course and a Steak Dinner Immediately following the event. Deadline is September 23rd. Proper Golf Attire REQUIRED.

A new St. John Paul II tradition will be born on September 16, 2018. From 2-5pm in St. Cecilia’s hall we will gather to sample meat pie contestants for the official Christmas Bazaar Meat Pie Recipe! BAKERS: sign up sheets and guidelines/regulations are available in the front vestibule. We need accurate recipes that can be duplicated and up to 5 pies ready to be served. TASTERS: tickets are on sale this weekend! $3 per person will cover the fixings and drinks, this is not a fundraiser (so don’t skip it because of cost).
