During the meeting Fr. Riley stated that the proposal to close St. Leo’s church would be presented to the College of Consultants on December 13th. At that time the members of the College will review Fr. Sisco’s letter outlining why it has been suggested to close the St. Leo’s church building. They will then either ask for more information or approve or deny the proposal. If they agree Bishop Tobin will sign a decree which will be hand delivered to Fr. Sisco immediately. This decree will then be signed and presented to the parish. Anyone wishing to present a formal objection to the Bishop’s final decree has 10 business days to write a formal letter stating why they object. This letter must address concrete issues from the proposal, include solutions to these reasons and provide a solid plan that corrects or prevents this situation from developing again.
